27-hole championship course with 14 holes overlooking the Atlantic · Designed by P.B. Dye
Championship Golf Course
La Cana Golf & Beach Club is a 27-hole course located within the Punta Cana Resort, designed by legendary golf architect P.B. Dye and opened in 2001. The course is divided into three nine-hole layouts: Tortuga, Hacienda, and Arrecife. With 14 of its 27 holes featuring direct views of the Caribbean Sea, La Cana has been compared to Pebble Beach by Golf Magazine, which named it the "#1 course in the Caribbean."
What sets La Cana apart is not only its breathtaking natural beauty, but also its environmental innovation: it was the first golf course in the Caribbean to use Paspalum grass, a variety that can be irrigated with recycled seawater, eliminating the use of fresh water. Four holes are played right on the edge of the Atlantic, creating a playing experience unlike any other in the region.
Beyond the game, the exclusive clubhouse — designed by Oscar de la Renta — offers the "19th Hole Terrace" overlooking hole 18 and the Caribbean, a full bar, luxury locker rooms, a golf shop, and a practice center with V1 Golf swing analysis. Villa Eden guests enjoy included access to all facilities.
